Indian states which included Indore state, Kolhapur state, Patiala state, Junagadh state, Baroda state, Hyderabad state and Datia state. Among them, the best wrestlers would be kept as court wrestlers and all kinds of facilities would be provided along with their fine clothes.

Gama’s father, Mohammad Aziz Bakhsh, was a renowned wrestler of his time. During this period, the ruler of the Datia state was Raja Bhawani Singh, who himself was a master of the art of wrestling. Under the supervision of Raja Bhawani Singh, royal dangals were held one after the other and the victory of each dangal was attributed to Aziz Bakhsh Pehlwan. Impressed by the art of the Bakhsh wrestler, Raja Bhawani Singh made him his court wrestler. And married his favorite wrestler to the daughter of a great wrestler Amir Bakhsh Pehlwan known as Pehlwan Rustam Hind Gurz Band Amritsari who belonged to a distinguished and noble family of that time. In addition to fame, honor, wealth and love, nature gave him a beautiful son on May 22, 1878 at the age of 33, who was named Ghulam Muhammad and this Ghulam Muhammad became "Gama" in the language of love.

Gama Pehlwan was just six years old. When his father Aziz Bakhsh Pehlwan broke his ties with the world and slept forever under the soil. Young Gama ji was unaware of his father's untimely death. They did not know what death is and how it separates their lovers forever in moments. Two months after the death of Aziz Bakhsh Pehlwan, another son was born to them who became known as Imam Baksh Pahalwan and became Rustam e Hind. Gama Pehlwan had enjoyed some of his father's compassion and love in his father's short life, but nature deprived Imam Bakhsh Pehlwan ji of that too. Now these second children were completely alone and helpless in the uneven paths of life. Therefore, their upbringing was entrusted to their grandfather Ameer Bakhsh, known as Lone Pehlwan Rustam Hind. Because of being brought up by Nana, Gama started to be called Gama lone wala. But unfortunately, he too suddenly met with an accident and met his true creator. After the death of his grandfather, he was trained by his maternal uncle Eida Pehlwan Lon Amritsari. It was the same Eida Pahlwan who also built a mosque in Maan singh Gate Amritsar, which is still known as Masjid Eida Pahlwan.

Gama Pehlwan received his initial training in the art of wrestling from his maternal uncle Ida Pehlwan, who used to take him to dangals in different states since his childhood. When Gamanji was ten years old, his younger uncle, the respected Boota Pehlwan, prepared for his journey to Jodhpur state. Where in those days a grand martial arts competition was going to be held under the auspices of Raja Jaswant Singh. In which the wrestlers had to demonstrate their skills with different skills. More than four hundred wrestlers from all over India participated in this historic martial arts competition. The first and last condition of the competition was only that the wrestler who will do the most "sits" will be recognized as the successful wrestler in this competition. Among these four hundred named wrestlers, a ten-year-old wrestler stood up in the name of Allah. Gradually, the wrestlers left the field exhausted. And finally only fifteen wrestlers were left. Among them was the ten-year-old Gama Pehlwan. Maharaja Jodhpur, impressed by the physical strength and artistry of a child, declared not only Gama the winner of the competition. He also stopped Gama in the state of Jodhpur by giving him the status of a court wrestler of Jodhpur. Khalifa bhai Madhu Singh transferred all his art to both brothers in four years. After the death of Maharaja Jaswant Singh, Ida Pehlwan along with his nephews returned to Maharaja Bhawani Singh of Datia state.

The daily diet of a Gama Pehlwan included milk, butter, goat meat, native chickens, fruits and almonds. And in exercise, he had to dig the akhara, five thousand squats and three thousand push-ups, and test his strength with about forty wrestlers. This was the routine of the day. In the fifteenth year of his age, Gama had become an unrivaled ruler of the Datia state. For two years, Maharaja arranged exhibition bouts for Gama and Imam Bakhsh Pehlwan, in which Gama was the winner every time.

Juna gadh was the stronghold of the famous wrestlers. In the year 1902, the grand competitions started in Junagadh. It was a fortnight-long celebration of wrestling in which wrestlers from different states came with the desire to show their skills. In these competitions, the famous disciple of The Great Ghulam Pahelwan Rustam e Douran, Rahim Baksh Sultaniwala Rustam e Hind also participated. Gama was aware of Rahim Bakhsh Pehlwan's reputation, but he was not convinced until he saw the great Pehlwan himself.

Days passed and Rahim Pahlwan continued to defeat his rivals in a shameful manner. He was the most prominent in this fortnight-long celebration. No wrestler could stand against him. Rahim Bakhsh had just knocked out his last opponent in the arena when Gama ji broke through the crowd of spectators and came into the arena and challenged Rahim Bakhsh Soltaniwala to a wrestling match.

18 year old boy. He was challenging the wrestler who was ten years older than him and the winner of the celebration. Rahim Baksh accepted Gama ji's challenge. Rahim Bakhsh's acceptance of this challenge was a sign of generosity. If he wanted, he could have refused by saying that he should fight one of my students first. Rahim Bakhsh once again entered the field in his traditional style. Rahim looked at Gama with full eyes and then caught him like a lion catches a rabbit. Meanwhile, the slogan "Flak Shagaf" was raised and went away. But he didn't go anywhere and Rahim Pahlwan continued to rub him and then this process of rubbing continued. Rahim Bakhsh's reputation was in trouble. It was humiliating for a wrestler like him to be pitted against him by a younger and less famous wrestler. It had been more than half an hour since the wrestling of both the wrestlers. So the Nawab of Juna gadh freed both the wrestlers equally. Rahim the wrestler was not defeated, but to be able to knock down a nineteen-year-old boy was an insult to his wrestling. Later this wrestling made Gama famous.

Gama was twenty years old when he challenged every wrestler in India to a common wrestling challenge. This common challenge of his caused a wave of outrage among all the wrestlers of India. As a result, wrestlers from all the states of India rose up to compete with Gama.

Gama first wrestling challenge was against the renowned wrestler Ghulam Mohiuddin Pehlwan of Datiya State. For this great victory, Maharaja Datia gave Gama Pehlwan a 22kg weighted silver mallet and a cash reward of 20,000 rupees.

Gama Pehlwan second challenge was in Baroda state with Vidu singh Pehlwan whom Gama Pehlwan defeated in just one and a half minutes by hitting Dhobi Pat. This boat was organized by Raja Khande Rao. After that, he entered the province of Punjab. Because after the states, the province of Punjab had the privilege of having a large number of renowned masters of the art, including the family of Ustadan wala, the family of Bali wala, the family of Sultani wala, and the family of Bajjy wala and the family of Khalifa Ghulam Mohiuddin, whose efforts resulted in the foundation of the art of wrestling becoming stronger and stronger, and then lovers of the art of wrestling appeared in millions in the subcontinent.

The age of Gama Pehlwan was 22 years when his challenge was accepted by the famous Pehlwan Aftab Punjab Khalifa Ghulam Mohiuddin Pahlwan of Lahore. During this period, Khalifa Ghulam Muhyiddin wrestler was considered as the winner of Punjab due to his strength and perfect art and he had full skill and mastery in boxing, but he was called the king of boxing in the presence of thousands of spectators. A practical demonstration of pitch and power, but after five minutes, Khalifa Ghulam Mohiuddin left the wrestling arena and walked out of the arena and acknowledged Gama's strength and pitching skills.

After that, Gama Pehlwan ji entered the state of Tekum garh. In those days, Raja Mahendra Singh was residing in the state of Tekum garh and the courtier Pehlwan Chirag accepted the challenge of Gama Pehlwan ji, but when Gama Pehlwan ji reached there, by chance. Chirag Pehlwan was sick at that time, but Raja Mahendra Singh did not postpone the scheduled program of Dangal and he made Gama Pehlwan wrestle with famous wrestler Dhakkar Singh. Gama knocked out his opponent Dhakkar Singh Pahlwan in the first minute using a sharp stick.

Gama continued his journey and headed to Gwalior state. The challenge of Gama Pehlwan from this state was accepted by Lilla Agra Wale. This wrestler had forged his power in the Marathi and Bandela states during his time, but the 23-year-old Gama Pehlwan Ji could not stand even a minute in front of him and collapsed. After that, Gama Pehlwan defeated a giant like Paratab Singh in the state of Bhopal. This Pahlewan was beaten on all four shoulders by placing "Ek Tinggi" stake in two minutes.

At the age of 26, Gama Pehlwan arrived in the state of Rewan for the seventh bout of his challenge, where he faced a Brahmin wrestler named Badri. When the wrestling started at the appointed time, the Gama Pehlwan attacked his opponent like lion. This sudden and unexpected attack took the badri wrestler's feet off the ground and he lost his balance and fell to the arena without any stakes. I fell down and fell.

From the state of Rewan, Gama reached the state of Indore. In those days, the Raja of Indore was Shaoji Rao Hulkar. The challenge of Gama Pehlwan from this state was accepted by Ali Sain, the famous wrestler of that era, the Star e Hind Lahori. This was the last match of Gama usual challenge. Gama Pehlwan defeated Ali Sain Pehlwan in a span of about five minutes. In this journey, Gama was accompanied by his happy younger brother Imam Bakhsh Pahlwan Rustom e Hind, at that time Imam Bakhsh Pahlwan Ji was about 20 years old. Inspired by the art of Gama Pehlwan ji, Raja Shaoji Rao expressed his desire to see another wrestling of Gama Pehlwan. And for this competition, he organized a wrestling match with his beloved Shah Zor wrestler Feroze Deen aka Gunga Pehlwan Bali wala Rustam e Hind's father Gamu Bali wala Rustam e Hind Sialkoti. When the wrestling took place at the appointed time, Gama Pehlwan defeated Gamu Pehlwan Baliwala by placing a stake. Only three to four minutes were spent in this boat. After the boat was over, Maharaja Shaoji Rao was surprised and said to Gama ji. It is a matter of great surprise that you overpower your opponent very easily in a few minutes. When a wrestler comes into competition with whom you have to fight for a while, then Gama said, "Yes, in Junagadh, there was such a fight from Gujranwala Famous Shah Zor Rahim Pahlwan Sultaniwala Rustam e hind, which continued for an hour continuously, but still the decision could not be reached. All that was heard was that Shivji Rao's enthusiasm increased even more. He said that if that competition was once held in Juna gadh state, then it does not matter if the same competition is not held in my state for the second time.

Finally, the day came which Gama had been eagerly waiting for for many years. It was announced that the winner of the competition would be awarded a cash prize of 30,000 rupees. People from many states attended to witness this competition. During the wrestling, both the wrestlers presented such a practical proof of their strength and skill as wrestlers that the fans did not even let the wrestlers sit comfortably on their seats for a while. Until the two-hour conflict, both the powers of the sub-continent were equal in all respects. It seemed difficult for both of them to dominate each other. Due to the darkness of the evening, Maharaja Shoji Rao finally issued an order to stop the fight at the level of equality. . At the end of the wrestling match, Maharaja Shoji Rao praised both Shah Zor wrestlers and said that I have never seen such a great wrestling match before today, nor have I seen such hard-working wrestlers who are not second to none in every respect.

This clash of Gama Pehlwan and Rahim Pahlwan Sultaniwala was not limited to this state, but later on, the third match of these two great champions was held in Indore state, which was equal.

At the age of 27, Gama Pehlwan ji gave a general challenge to wrestlers from all over India to wrestle but during this period no wrestler came to the competition. I said that I will offer seven thousand rupees in cash to the wrestler who defeats me and this challenge continued for three years. The star of India rose to the occasion. At that time Gama Pehlwan was 30 years old when Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan Bajjy wala had this match in Calcutta, Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan could not stand even for two minutes and had to face failure. Time and Circumstances This brave and practical man now reached Lucknow and there added another challenge to his challenge that every wrestler who has been defeated by me till now, if he wishes to compete a second time, he should enter the field without any hesitation. I came down, but did not stop here, as many times as he dared to face and try to get the prize money. Gama Pehlwan gesture was towards those wrestlers who had been defeated by him in the previous competitions in the challenge competitions. But this wish of his could not be fulfilled and on the contrary it was seen that this time also Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan Multani was seen in the field. This time too he had to face defeat at the hands of Gama Pehlwan. After staying in Lucknow for a few days, Gama now turned to Lahore, but Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan Multani did not stop pursuing Gama even here in spite of demeaning him. This race was held in Lahore for the third time, but the result was the same as in the first two races. After being defeated three times, Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan Multani did not have the courage to wrestle the same rock as Gama Ji for the fourth time, but Hassan Bakhsh Pahlwan wrestled seven times with his younger brother Imam Bakhsh Pahlwan Rustam Hind at different times. Even times could not be successful. Although Imam Bakhsh Pahlwan ji used to call these boats of Hasan Bakhsh Pahlwan brazen and said very simply that they would have come forward and it would have been inevitable for us to fight. I had to fight him seven times which is a record.

Gama was still residing in Lahore when his old and biggest rival Rahim Bakhsh Pahlwan Sultaniwala also arrived in Lahore. Gama Pehlwan fourth bout with Rahim Pahlwan Sultaniwala was announced as a challenge in which a cash prize of seven thousand rupees was kept by Gama. The clash of these two mountains started with enthusiasm in the emergency Dangal of Lahore. This time the fight continued for two hours and twenty minutes continuously and even then no result could be obtained. This wrestling which started in the light of day, when it was wrapped in the black of the night and disappeared from the eyes, the two wrestlers had to stop the wrestling themselves due to the insistence of the fans, but it was also announced that this Dangal will be held again in Lahore itself.

At the age of thirty-two years, from 1897 to 1909 i.e., in a period of twelve years, Gama ji had successfully achieved a position that can be called the culmination of his mission, but still Gama G's mission was incomplete. It is about the time of 1910. When the John Bull World Wrestling Championship was going to be held in England. In which wrestlers from all over the world were invited to participate. For Gama ji, this news was no less than a ruby coral. Sharat Kumar Mishra, an influential person of Bengal, was impressed by Gama ji's art and arranged to send him to London. Gama Pehlwan took Miran Bakhsh Pahlwan Bhokiwala Rustam e Hind Amritsari and Gamu Pahlwan Jalandhri besides his younger brother Imam Bakhsh Pahlwan Rustam e Hind to Britain.

Gama ji had reached London along with his wrestling delegation to get the honor of Rustam e Zaman. The competition was between heavyweight wrestlers. Therefore, Gama was prevented from participating in the competition because he was underweight. Gama Pehlwan challenged all the wrestlers of Great Britain, including the heavyweight wrestlers of the time, Stanislaus Zbyszko and Frank Gooch, to wrestle that the best Indian wrestler could defeat all the wrestlers in the world in five minutes. And if he lost, he would return home with a prize money of five pounds as an acknowledgment of defeat. Gama ji's amazing challenge was published in British newspapers with headlines. This challenge was first accepted by the American wrestler Dr. Benjamin Roller. Benjamin Roller was not only the most famous wrestler of that era. He was also six inches taller and thirty-four pounds heavier than Gama ji. But when the match came, Gama ji gave him a Overwhelmed in minutes and forty seconds. In two days, none of the twelve famous wrestlers of the world could stand up to Gama. And the famous wrestlers who compete will be forced to say that Gama is a magician. Even the Times newspaper of that period published a cartoon in which Gama was shown sitting on the dead bodies of English wrestlers as a giant.

Stanislaus Zbyszko was the World Heavyweight Champion of that era and was considered one of the most prominent wrestlers in the world. On September 10, 1910, Gama Pehlwan and Stanislaus Zbyszko faced each other at the Shelfer Dubish Stadium in London for the European John Bull World Championship title. The prize money for this match was £250 and the John Bull belt. When the competition started, the spectators saw a strange scene that the young Gama started to rub the Stanislaus Zbyszko wrestler. After that, for two hours and thirty-five minutes during the entire match, Zbyszko did not get up from the ground and was trying to fight in a sitting position. Just like this, when Inoki and Muhammad Ali fought, Inoki was not on the ground as a defensive strategy. He got up and kept fighting while lying down. The match ended in a no-decision. Zbyszko's action drew a lot of anger from his fans. The management held the competition for the next week to clearly determine the winner. Now this competition was held on September 17, 1910 in London's Shelfer Dubish Stadium in the presence of thousands of spectators. Gama Pehlwan had reached the arena before the scheduled time, but Zbyszko was nowhere to be seen. He sent a letter to his manager saying that he was unable to compete due to his mother's illness. It was said that Zbyszko has run away from the competition field. Gama Pahlwan ji stood in the middle of the arena like Sher babbar, thus the organizers, in consultation with the judges, awarded Gama Pehlwanji the title of Champion of the World i.e. Rustom e Zaman by giving him a belt of world honor along with 250 pounds cash prize.

After returning home, Gama Pahlwan and Rahim Bakhsh Soltaniwala had their fifth and final match in 1910 at Allahabad. Both the wrestlers were not strangers to each other. Both the wrestlers tried to prove their superiority over the other for half an hour. In the meantime, Gaman Pehlwan ji pulled out Rahim Pehlwan's kara, so Rahim Pehlwan woke up on the head of the arena, thus his ribs were crushed and like all the other wrestlers, this wrestle was also released. The winner of the wrestling match between Pehlwan Ji and Rahim Pehlwan Sultaniwala has been declared to be Rustam Zaman. It is necessary to mention here that Rahim Soltaniwala has been the greatest rival of Rustam Zaman, the great wrestler of the wrestling world, throughout his life. And if Gamanji also recognized anyone's art in life, it was Rahim Pahlwan Sultaniwala's art.

Everyone knew that Zbyszku had left the field and ran away on his own. The Maharaja mentioned this to Gama Pehlwan ji. So he asked the Maharaja of Patiala to invite Zbyszku to come to Patiala. The Maharaja of Patiala was very happy and satisfied after hearing Gama ji's reply, he informed Stanislaus Zbyszko through a telegram and invited him to come to Patiala and also offered forty thousand rupees in cash.
